The Audiology, Speech and Language Therapy Centre at Durdans Hospital is the first private facility of its kind established in Sri Lanka, offering audiological evaluations, newborn hearing screening and audiological rehabilitation (hearing aids).
The centre is one of only a handful in the country authorised by the Civil Aviation Authority to conduct auditory and speech screening for the national airline.
Services include pure-tone audiometry (PTA), conditioned play audiometry (CPA), behaviour observation audiometry (BOA), tympanometry, otoacoustic emission (OAE), newborn hearing screening, auditory brainstem response (ABR) and hearing aid trials, for newborns, children and adults.
